Postdoctoral Research Associate - Mechanical Engineering
About The Position
The position will support a federally sponsored fundamental science research project within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of North Texas. The research focuses on nanoscale heat transport, the optical and electronic properties of materials, and spacecraft thermal engineering. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to research activities, data analysis, experimental and computational investigations, scholarly publications, and other project related objectives in support of the department's research mission and sponsored goals.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely related field
- Research experience in the fields that are related to the focus areas of the position
- Proven track record of publications in relevant journals and conferences
- Good communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on nano/microscale cleanroom fabrication and materials thin film deposition
- Self-motivation and strong teamwork skills
- Some travel is required to participate with collaborators’ facilities
- Grant proposal development and assistance
