About The Position

This is a combined course with ART5515, focusing on selected themes from current historical or theoretical issues in art history. The Fall 2026 theme is 'Art and Identity,' exploring the role of art in the construction of identity. The course will be taught in person with one week offered virtually. Applicants are reminded to ensure all previous experience and relevant qualifications are represented in their CV.

Requirements

  • Doctorate, or in the final stages of a doctorate, in Art History or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of contemporary art history theories on the announced course subject.
  • Solid research record on the announced course subject.
  • History of publications in the field of the announced course.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current approaches in art history and art theory.

  • Ensure all previous experience and relevant qualifications are represented in the curriculum vitae.
