About The Position

The Post-Doctoral Fellow I provides assistance to the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigators, and Research Staff. The role supports research study activities, helps ensure enrollment goals are met when applicable, and supports protocol adherence, monitoring visits, regulatory and administrative details, data management, and project close-out. The fellow also contributes to research dissemination, prepares progress reports, analyzes and writes up data, and presents complex information to a range of audiences.

Requirements

• PhD or MD required.
• Experience with molecular engineering.
• Experience with mRNA IVT and purification processes.
• Proficiency in maintaining mammalian cell cultures under sterile conditions.
• Demonstrated competence in oral and written communication.
• Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities and interact with employees, clients, and sponsors at all levels.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with strict deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Computer skills, including at least intermediate-level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office software.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of medical research project management experience strongly desired, preferably with the Department of Defense.
• Knowledge of the military system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and assist the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigators, and research team in performing the research study.
• Contribute to drafting and submitting abstracts, manuscripts, and reports for dissemination.
• Prepare progress reports on research as required.
• Analyze and write up data.
• Present complex information effectively to a range of audiences.
• Provide data management assistance.
• Provide project close-out support.
• Support enrollment goals when applicable, protocol adherence, monitoring visits, and regulatory and administrative details.
