About The Position

This position is for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Ren Lab within Biological Sciences. The appointee will develop research skills for an academic or research career, lead projects on epigenetic mechanisms and genome organization, publish their work, present at conferences, write grants, and mentor junior trainees. The role is temporary, involves substantial full-time research, and is preparatory for a full-time academic and/or research career. The appointee works under the supervision of a faculty member and is expected to publish their research findings.

Requirements

  • Recently awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., Sc.D., M.D.)
  • Works under the supervision of a faculty member
  • Expected to publish the results of his or her research or scholarship during the period of appointment

Responsibilities

  • Develop research skills for independent work, in preparation for an academic or research career
  • Lead projects on epigenetic mechanisms and genome organization
  • Publish work in peer-reviewed journals
