The Jaspan lab at the Center for Global Infectious Disease Research at Seattle Children’s Research Institute is seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow. The lab focuses on host-microbial interactions at mucosal surfaces and their impact on immunity and disease susceptibility, primarily in the infant gut and adolescent/maternal genital tracts. The fellow will focus on multi-omics data analysis, such as the immune-microbial alterations induced by live-biotherapeutic supplementation in early life, and microbial-metaproteomic consequences of contraceptive devices on the cervicovaginal environment. The ultimate goal is to improve infectious morbidity in infants and young women globally.
