We have an opening for a talented postdoctoral fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Christine Moussion in the research department of Immunology Discovery at Genentech. The lab study Tissue Microenvironment and mechanisms of resistance to treatment in Chronic Inflammatory Diseases and Cancer by leveraging in vivo screens with a novel high content imaging platform named STAMP (Skin Tissue Array by Micro Poration, Ortiz-Munoz et al, Nature, 2023). We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and collaborative Postdoctoral fellow to perform discovery research focusing on the immunobiology of the tissue microenvironment with an emphasis on antigen presentation, immune cell trafficking, imaging and cell-cell communication. By combining innovative imaging technology with genetic and pharmacological tools the successful candidate will pursue basic discoveries and reverse translational research effort from human genetics to mouse models to improve the outcome of Immunotherapies. You will be expected to make intellectual as well as technical contributions by leading cross-functional projects. You will read literature to independently design, execute and analyze experiments, as well as frequently communicate with other departments as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary community, working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will present the work to various forums across the research organization, international conference and publish articles. The Genentech scientific environment has access to generous and state of the art resources. You will be part of the Genentech post-doctoral training program that provides an outstanding environment and the opportunity to pursue fundamental basic science questions in an environment focused on drug discovery.
