About The Position

This Postdoctoral Associate position in Chemical Engineering focuses on microfluidics and microphysiological systems, specifically "organ-on-a-chip" technology. The role involves modeling the microphysiological environment of the retina to study retinal diseases and contribute to the fight against blindness. The postdoctoral associate will have the chance to collaborate with ophthalmology researchers at hospitals, gaining access to patient samples and bridging preclinical research with clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering or other related fields.
  • Skilled in cell culture.
  • Skilled in microfluidic fabrication.
  • Skilled in modeling organ systems.
  • Skilled in characterization assays such as PCR, immunostaining, flow cytometry, ELISA etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with stem cells and stem cell derived organoids.
  • Experience with ophthalmology is not required.
