The Getz Lab at the Broad Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital develops computational methods to study the molecular basis of cancer and follows up important findings experimentally. The lab is an interdisciplinary, collaborative research environment that emphasizes mentoring, intellectual rigor, and opportunities for learning and professional development. The postdoctoral associate will lead development of an AI-driven prediction model for multiple myeloma (MM), integrating multimodal data such as whole-genome sequencing, single-cell transcriptomics, immune profiling, and clinical information to identify patients likely to respond or become resistant to therapy. The work is planned for two years, with potential follow-on work, and will be conducted in close collaboration with Dr. Irene Ghobrial’s laboratory at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The research spans computational biology, machine learning, and clinical research, with the goal of improving understanding of disease progression, therapeutic response, and resistance and supporting precision treatment selection. The successful candidate will bring computational and statistical expertise and enthusiasm for learning. They will work alongside scientists, engineers, and clinicians, with mentoring and educational opportunities, and may teach and mentor junior team members.
