About The Position

The Post Trade Compliance Coordinator Assistant Vice President is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, leading a variety of compliance activities. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Post Trade Compliance. This role also involves joining a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as providing a support mechanism for achievement, including SMART goal setting. The position will complete regulatory reporting and associated client reporting requirements covering all aspects of the funds Post Trade Compliance program. The role will assist the section manager of a team of Compliance Analysts who are responsible for a broad spectrum of compliance matters affecting clients. Key responsibilities include identifying and implementing corrective action plans across teams while analyzing and assessing business risk, serving as the primary point of escalation for internal/external staff queries, and developing/managing process, productivity, and quality standards. The role also involves creating, developing, and maintaining business relationships, identifying and implementing service, system, and process enhancements, leading and evaluating system testing, and training staff on new technology enhancements. Additionally, the position supports the development and achievement of strategic goals and the annual performance/compensation cycle, implements methods to reduce expenses, recommends enhancements, and justifies benefits. A critical aspect of this role is to appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Chartered Accountant /CFA/MBA
  • Experience in fund accounting and financial services
  • Experience in ops delivery
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in related area
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor/coordinate the work activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the funds activities in a department, including calculation of NAV and distribution factors
  • Contribute to the design of the future operating model across all product areas
  • Determine workflow within the department/function and volumes ensuring work is handled efficiently as well as coordinate team efforts to support transactions for large global/corporate clients, financial institutions, or governments
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance to resolve problems, handle escalations, and resolve complex or escalated transactions
  • Coordinate training, coaching, and providing feedback to new hires and lower level staff, as well as provide support to first level employees which may include producing and delivering performance assessments and/or corrective action
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencies and manage procedural manuals and updates as required
  • Coordinate Risk & Control agenda as well as work closely with upper level managers in monitoring the audit deliverables as well as interface with internal and external auditors
