About The Position

NBC News is seeking a Post-Production Assistant to aid in all aspects of Licensing and Syndication, including Dateline. This is a short-term position with an estimated duration of 6 months or less, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of editorial production experience in long form programming for broadcast, streaming or cable network
• Entry-level knowledge of Airtable, Google Sheets, Avid, video formats, basic post workflows and organization.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to handle confidential material with utmost discretion
• Strong written and communication skills
• Must be willing and able to work weekends, flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

• Bilingual in Spanish/English – with the ability to speak, read and write well in both languages

Responsibilities

• Work with Post Supervisors to create and organize edit projects
• Assist with edits, ensuring media is available and organized
• Restore archived media
• Troubleshoot offline media issues
• Facilitate graphic requests
• Create screeners
• Assist with episode delivery, meeting client’s technical guidelines
• Complete music cue sheets
• Work with Post Supervisors to ensure shows are archived and media is deleted
• Assist with the creation and delivery of promo material
