Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • 1 Year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Laminating using wet fiberglass layup preferred.
  • Experience preparing materials for laminating process (Cutting fiberglass, carbon fiberglass, and using polyester resins) preferred.
  • Experience using Vacuum bagging and resin infusion
  • Experience thermo forming plastic
  • Able to read blueprints – Preferred
  • Knowledge of laminating, hand tools and other equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Process work orders per customer requirements
  • Finish parts by priming, laminating, gluing, sanding, trimming, glazing, and other post- production processes.
  • Set-up and clean work areas.
  • Properly mix materials per order requirements.
  • Work to a high-quality standard.
  • Safely operate and maintain spray and mixing equipment
  • Laminating using wet layup techniques
  • Prepare and maintain molds for laminating
  • Prepare materials for the laminating process, including cutting fiberglass and carbon fiber, mixing resins, and gel coats
  • Apply gel coat and using HVLP paint gun or gel coat cup sprayers
  • Work with resins include Epoxy, Polyester and Vinylesters
  • Remove parts from mold
  • Inspect Laminated parts for defects
  • Trim and repair laminations as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
