About The Position
The Post Kidney Transplant Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the care of kidney and/or pancreas transplant recipients at the time of transplant and ongoing. This role involves working with the transplant team and referring physicians to monitor the progress and ongoing treatment of transplant recipients. The Post-Transplant Coordinator is responsible for post-operative teaching as well as ongoing education of transplant recipients and will assist in the operation of post-transplant clinic hours.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse required
- Minimum of three years experience with renal and/or transplant patients
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications
Nice To Haves
- American Board Transplant Coordinator certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate ongoing care of kidney and/or pancreas transplant recipients following transplantation
- Monitor the progress and ongoing treatment of post-transplant recipients
- Provide post-operative teaching and continuous education to post transplant recipients
- Assist in the operation of post-transplant clinic
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.
