About The Position
Transplant Coordinator will coordinate the care of kidney and/or pancreas transplant recipients at the time of transplant and ongoing. Coordinator will work with transplant team and referring physicians to monitor progress and ongoing treatment of transplant recipients. Post-Transplant Coordinator is responsible for post-operative teaching as well as ongoing education of transplant recipients. Assist in the operation of post transplant clinic hours.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse required.
- Minimum of three years experience with renal and/or transplant patients
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- American Board Transplant Coordinator certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate ongoing care of kidney and/or pancreas transplant recipients following transplantation
- Monitor the progress and ongoing treatment of post-transplant recipients
- Provide post-operative teaching and continuous education to post transplant recipients
- Assist in the operation of post-transplant clinic
