About The Position

The Post-Graduate Success Advisor plays a critical role in advancing Beacon College’s mission to improve employment outcomes for neurodiverse graduates by supporting their transition from college to career. This position provides structured, individualized career coaching and transition support to recent graduates pursuing early career employment, graduate school, or career advancement. Through a combination of virtual outreach, coaching, and structured programming, the Advisor helps graduates effectively translate their academic experiences, strengths, and skills into meaningful career opportunities. The Advisor also guides graduates to continuous learning opportunities that can enhance their current skillsets and help positively influence their career readiness and employment outcomes. This Advisor must demonstrate commitment to Beacon College’s mission of supporting neurodiverse students and graduates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Demonstrated experience working with or supporting individuals with learning differences and/or neurodiverse populations
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport in a virtual advising environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with data tracking, reporting, or CRM systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in career services, advising, education, human services, or related field
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Handshake, Big Interview, and email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact)
  • Experience delivering virtual workshops or group programming
  • Experience managing or supporting internship or mentoring programs
  • Beacon College graduate

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 virtual coaching (and occasional in-person) and consultation to recent graduates
  • Support resume refinement, interview prep, job search strategies, and career exploration
  • Connect alumni to resources such as Handshake and Big Interview
  • Maintain consistent outreach and follow-up
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt coaching strategies to meet diverse cognitive, communication, and executive functioning needs
  • Applies strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming approaches to career advising
  • Supports graduates in navigating workplace environments, disclosure decisions, and accommodations when appropriate
  • Design and deliver virtual workshops and coaching sessions tailored to recent graduates
  • Promote and support participation in online programming through targeted outreach
  • Develop and distribute a monthly Alumni Career Services Newsletter highlighting opportunities, resources, and success stories
  • Coordinate and support career-focused Alumni Weekend programming
  • Host and engage alumni participants during key campus events (e.g., ICAN, Cert Saturdays!, Career Center programs)
  • Lead coordination of a Virtual Internship Program for Beacon graduates
  • Manage program lifecycle, including: Vendor Partner requirements, Alumni recruitment and matching, Program communication and tracking, Evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Execute 3–4 program cycles annually to expand post-graduate experiential opportunities
  • Manage Alumni Employment Surveys through each dedicated cycle
  • Track data in Handshake or other CRM as determined
  • Support reporting for federal, grant, and institutional needs
  • Collect and develop alumni success stories and outcome narratives for use in Admissions, Advancement, Employer engagement, and other reporting needs
  • Manage Alumni Employment Surveys and annual data collection processes
  • Track all alumni interactions and outcomes using Handshake or a designated CRM
  • Maintain accurate records for: Employment status and career progression, Graduate school enrollment
  • Compile and deliver reports to support: Federal reporting requirements, Grant applications, Institutional effectiveness and accreditation efforts
  • Contribute to data-informed strategies to improve graduate outcomes
  • Support Admissions presentations alongside the Career Center team as needed
  • Assist with in-person, daytime, evening, or weekend signature events such as Alumni Weekend (Career Center programs), ICAN and Cert Saturdays; others as determined
