About The Position

A Post Frame Construction Carpenter performs a wide range of physical labor tasks at construction sites, including site preparation, using hand and power tools, and cleaning up the job site. The role involves preparing and handling materials, assisting with machinery and equipment, interpreting blueprints, and carrying out instructions while maintaining regular and predictable attendance. The position requires working at heights exceeding 20 feet, traveling as needed, and being able to work both as part of a team and independently after receiving instructions. The work may involve overtime and varied weather conditions.

Requirements

• Understand directions and read blueprints.
• Work at heights exceeding 20 feet.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Travel as needed.
• Work alone once instructions have been given.
• Work a 40-hour week with overtime.
• Lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds.
• Work in a variety of weather conditions and elements.
• Have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment and other safety-related equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of vocational school, technical college, or an apprenticeship program, or equivalent on-the-job training and experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with transporting and operating heavy machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.
