About The Position

The Post Doctoral Scholar will embark on a program of independent research with the primary goal to new electrosynthetic reactions applicable to organic synthesis. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. Requirements

• PhD in chemistry or a related field by the time of hire
• Strong theoretical or practical background in organic synthesis
• Demonstrated experience operating and conducting synthetic chemistry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative mentality towards research and mentoring

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated through a record of peer-reviewed publications

Responsibilities

• Conducting laboratory work centered around developing new organic reactions
• Leading manuscript preparation for submission to peer-reviewed journals
• Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students
• Presenting at group meetings and subgroups
