About The Position
The Post Doctoral Scholar will join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University studying Chemistry. The Post Doctoral Scholar will embark on a program of independent research with the primary goal to discover new electrosynthetic reactions applicable to organic synthesis. Duties will include conducting laboratory work centered around developing new organic reactions; leading manuscript preparation for submission to peer-reviewed journals; and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Other responsibilities include presenting at group meetings and subgroups.
Requirements
- PhD in chemistry or a related field by the time of hire
- Strong theoretical or practical background in organic synthesis
- Demonstrated experience operating and conducting synthetic chemistry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative mentality towards research and mentoring
- Demonstrated record of peer-reviewed publications
