About The Position

The Post Doctoral Scholar will lead the ECCI measurement and analysis of magnetic domains and dislocations in NiO, collaborating with U Chicago, and perform SQUID measurements and analysis. This role involves producing publications, preparing presentations for national and international conferences, preparing project reports, and supporting graduate students and undergraduates in performing and analyzing experiments and presentation of results.

Requirements

  • PhD in Materials Science and Engineering
  • Scholarship and track record on dislocation microscopy using ECCI with SEM.
  • Expertise in epitaxy and thin film analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of magnetic characterization of materials
  • Understanding of slip systems in rock salt crystalline materials.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ECCI measurement and analysis of magnetic domains and dislocations in NiO, collaborating with U Chicago.
