About The Position

Design and predict advanced materials for electronic and energy applications; Explore useful structure-property-synthesis relationships in materials; Advance the atomic-level understanding of diffusion kinetics in solids; Publish results in peer-reviewed high-impact journals and present research findings at professional meetings; Co-advise graduate and undergraduate researchers as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in density functional theory calculations
  • Hold (or expect to obtain soon) a PhD in computational materials physics or a related field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge on first-principles theory of thermodynamics and kinetics
