About The Position

The Reventun lab has a position for an enthusiastic Postdoctoral Scholar to examine the role of genetic variants in endothelial cells in the progression of venous thromboembolism. The PD Researcher will pursue specialized research training, education, and experience under the guidance of Dr. Reventun; plans, designs, and executes experiments of considerable scope and complexity; collects and analyzes data; identifies and selects problems to be studied; develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols; attends research seminars; contributes to manuscript preparation and supports technical writing; participates in the preparation of grant applications for extramural funding.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a biological or health sciences field
  • Experience in animal studies
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques
  • Experience in cell signaling pathways
  • Prior training in the cardiovascular disease field
  • Successful completion of a background check
