About The Position

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available for a highly motivated and productive applicant in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Aird. The Aird Lab studies the intersection of cellular metabolism and cell cycle regulation in cancer. The lab has a strong commitment to the success of its lab members, is well-funded, and has a vibrant and high-energy research environment. The lab has multiple collaborations both within The Wistar Institute and externally, including at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University, providing a rich and interdisciplinary training environment.

Requirements

  • Recent recipient of PhD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) degree or close to obtaining a doctoral degree.
  • At least one first author peer-reviewed publication.
  • Standard molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • CV including a list of publications and manuscripts in preparation.
  • One-page cover letter detailing scientific interest, potential research projects, and career goals.
  • Names and contact information for at least 3 references.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in mouse models, especially cancer-related.
