The Mamedov Lab at The Wistar Institute is recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow to lead high-impact projects focused on T cell receptor (TCR) target discovery, CRISPR screening and engineering of human T cells, and T cell detection of stress-remodeled cancer cells. The lab uses CRISPR screens and functional genomics to study how human γδ T cells sense aberrant tumor cell states, with the goal of developing novel and broadly accessible immunotherapies. This work will build on and expand the lab’s published research on human γδ T cell recognition and killing of cancer cells. The lab collaborates with researchers across the University of Pennsylvania campus and beyond. The position is based at The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, within the University of Pennsylvania campus. Wistar offers resources for collaborative research, state-of-the-art facilities, and an intellectual environment focused on discovery science in cancer, immunology, and infectious disease.
