About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct research on corneal biology, with a focus on corneal wound healing, immunology, innervation, and regeneration. The fellow will employ a range of advanced in vitro and in vivo molecular, cellular, and clinical techniques and work with mouse and rabbit model systems. The fellow will report to Principal Investigator and will be responsible for handling various projects simultaneously, designing and executing complex multi-modal experiments, analyzing large datasets, and disseminating findings through peer-reviewed publications and international scientific conferences.

This position leads and contributes to cutting-edge research projects aimed at improving healthcare outcomes. Individuals in this position work closely with a team of researchers and healthcare professionals to conduct innovative studies and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Requirements

• PHD in a relevant field of study OR M.D.
• Prior experience in healthcare research.
• Demonstrated experience in research design, data collection, statistical analysis, and scientific writing.
• Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R) and data management tools.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting research findings to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of ethical guidelines and regulations related to healthcare research.

Responsibilities

• Conducts independent research projects within the healthcare field, under the guidance and mentorship of senior researchers.
• Designs and implements research studies, including experimental protocols, data collection methods, and statistical analysis plans.
• Analyzes and interprets research data, using appropriate statistical techniques and software.
• Prepares research findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences and scientific meetings.
• Collaborates with other researchers and professionals to develop and refine research hypotheses, study designs, and methodologies.

• Assists in securing research funding by contributing to grant writing and research proposal development.

• Contributes to the development and validation of new diagnostic tools, treatments, and interventions.
• Participates in the preparation of research reports, progress updates, and grant applications.
• Mentors and provide guidance to undergraduate and graduate students involved in research projects.
• Collaborates with industry partners to translate research findings into practical applications and technologies.
• Collaborates with regulatory bodies and ethics committees to ensure compliance with research protocols and regulations.
• Contributes to the dissemination of research findings to healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the general public through various channels, such as seminars, workshops, and publications.
• Maintains accurate and organized records of research data, protocols, and results, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
