About The Position

Our NIH R01-funded laboratory in the Division of Hematology and the Cardeza Foundation for Hematologic Research at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia is recruiting one to two postdoctoral fellows to join our research team. Our lab studies G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling in platelet biology, thrombosis, and vascular disease, with the goal of developing next-generation antithrombotic therapies. Our work has been published in leading journals, including Blood and Circulation Research. Current projects utilize cutting-edge approaches, including CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, transgenic mouse models, iPSC-based genome-wide screening, intravital microscopy, vascular injury/thrombosis models, and advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques.

Requirements

  • Strong research experience in molecular and cellular biology.
  • PhD or equivalent degree.
  • Highly motivated.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in hematology, thrombosis, or platelet biology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research utilizing cutting-edge approaches such as CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, transgenic mouse models, iPSC-based genome-wide screening, intravital microscopy, vascular injury/thrombosis models, and advanced molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  • Study G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling in platelet biology, thrombosis, and vascular disease.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation antithrombotic therapies.
  • Publish research findings in leading journals.
  • Participate in a highly collaborative biomedical research environment.
  • Receive strong mentorship for career development and fellowship applications (AHA, ASH, ISTH, etc.).
