The Health Professionals Ensuring Reproductive Access (HERA) Lab in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics in the Emory School of Medicine is seeking to hire a postdoctoral fellow to support several studies on access to contraceptive, abortion, and maternal health care in the Southeast. The position will engage in and independently contribute to quantitative health services and policy analysis for projects using electronic health record data to assess changes in pregnancy loss care and maternal and infant morbidity, as well as with surveys of family planning organizations to assess changes in the contraceptive workforce. The fellow will be engaged in research activities, research training seminars, interdisciplinary research, mentoring of students, preparation of grants, scientific manuscripts, and reports, and work closely with faculty mentors. The postdoctoral fellow will concurrently pursue their own abortion- and/or contraception-focused research. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in pursuing a career in health services research to expand access to sexual and reproductive health. The initial appointment is for one year, and a two-to-three-year renewal is expected if progress is satisfactory and funds are available.
