About The Position

The laboratory of Dr. Chandan K Sen at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine (affiliated with the Department of Surgery) at the University of Pittsburgh is committed to excellence in research, which drives our commitment to seek out and train the best of the next generation of biomedical scientists. We are interested in recruiting a full-time Postdoctoral Associate in the field of Functional Genomics of Chronic Wounds focusing on the functional role of Single Nucleotide Variation (SNV) and Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) followed by multiomic integration in chronic wound re-epithelialization and vascularization.

Requirements

3 years of experience
Ph.D. in Human and Clinical Genetics, Biotechnology, or related fields
Expertise in multi-omics integration
Expertise in human genetics
Expertise in functional genomics
Expertise in gene editing
Expertise in Systems Biology
Expertise in molecular and cellular biology
Hands-on experience with handling human and animal tissue samples
Experience with design/execution/analysis of experiments
Command of the English language
Good interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills
Critical thinking ability
Evidence of experience and good writing skills through first author publications in peer reviewed journals
Proficient in computer software usage including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical packages

Nice To Haves

Expertise to perform RNA-seq, WES, proteomics, and metabolomics data analysis is beneficial
