About The Position
An NIH-funded research laboratory led by PI Yuri Bunimovich, MD, Ph.D., in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, research-oriented postdoctoral associate. The laboratory investigates mechanisms of neuroimmune regulation of cancer progression and the role of ferroptosis and lipid peroxidation in chronic inflammatory diseases. The associate will conduct and publish cutting-edge research, learn and master new experimental techniques, and collaborate with other research laboratories. The candidate will stay up to date in the field, critically assess results, modify or develop research plans accordingly, and present work at research conferences.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cell or Molecular Biology, Immunology, Neuroscience, Cancer Biology, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with mouse models, cell culture, flow cytometry, and standard molecular biology techniques; preferred but not required.
