About The Position

The University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences is hiring a full-time Post Doctoral Associate in the Department of Computer Science, based in Coral Gables, Florida. The Liang lab seeks an associate to develop and apply atlas-based machine learning for pediatric bone age assessment. The role involves conducting scientific research and studies under the supervision of managing staff and contributing to scientific publications and the broader scientific community.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in assigned areas of study.
• Prepare research reports and technical papers for publication.
• Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles and theories.
• Maintain substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories.
• Develop advanced analytical models and systems, and provide solutions and analyses to support strategic and tactical decisions.
• Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
• Take on other duties or responsibilities as necessary; the listed duties are not all-inclusive.
