About The Position

The Post Closing Specialist (Agency Trailing Documents) is responsible for preparing real estate loans to ensure they are closed in conformance with all underwriting guidelines. This role prepares loans for booking and settlement with agencies, and tracks and clears post-close file exceptions.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of conventional and government residential mortgage loans, and investor guidelines.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.
  • Prior experience and proficiency with Loan Origination Systems and Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years’ experience in this field of work is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs post audit review of secondary market loans based upon regulatory agency and investor requirements.
  • Prepares files for other audits of secondary market loans.
  • Disbursement of all residential mortgage loans.
  • Reconciliation of all HUD/Settlement Statements with FICS.
  • Mailing customer survey letters.
  • Coordinating trailing documents to outside investors.
  • Reviewing all mortgage loans for compliance following QC checklist.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
