About The Position

Work as a team member, under general supervision to remove, clean, cut and verify castings in the post cast area. This is a full-time position where an operator will be able to proficiently perform a minimum of 3 of the following: Knockout, Low Temp / Autoclave, Cutoff/ Grinding / CNC / Waterblast / Revert Processing, Sandblast/ Expediting/ Vibratory, Acid Etch, Primary Inspection.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• Must pass WORKKEYS Tests (Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, Workplace Documents) with a Level 4 or higher on ALL tests.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lawfully obtain access to export-controlled items.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Able to demonstrate 2 years of full-time continuous work experience with the same employer OR 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Forklift driving.
• Understanding of Computers (basic hardware and software).
• Use of hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Team concept orientation.
• Capable of doing multiple tasks.
• Ability to become a certified operator (ie: autoclave, etch, alloy verification).
• Experience in chemical and manufacturing equipment usage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret PWI (work instructions).
• Lift a maximum of 35 pounds.
• Perform tasks requiring long periods of standing.
• Perform tasks involving push/pull/twisting.
• Utilize basic knowledge of computer hardware and software applications.
• Meet vision standards.
• Proficiently perform a minimum of 3 of the following: Knockout, Low Temp / Autoclave, Cutoff/ Grinding / CNC / Waterblast / Revert Processing, Sandblast/ Expediting/ Vibratory, Acid Etch, Primary Inspection.
• Accurate labor reporting.
• Verify quality of work (work tolerance, recognize defects).
• Remove excess gating.
• Calibrated measurements of chemicals.
• Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required.
