About The Position
This position is at a Level II Trauma Center and provides pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients. The role may occasionally involve providing pre-operative care for GI patients. The position is primarily focused on weekend coverage, and scrubs are provided.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Previous EPIC EMR experience.
Nice To Haves
- CPAN (Certified Post-Anesthesia Nurse) certification and/or CAPA (Certified Ambulatory Peri-Anesthesia Nurse) certification.
- Successful completion of previous travel nursing assignments.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre-op and post-op nursing care for surgical patients.
- Perform occasional pre-op assessments and care for GI procedures.
- Document patient care using the EPIC EMR.
