About The Position

The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive perioperative nursing care for elective and emergency surgical cases across multiple specialties. The OR RN efficiently multi-tasks to maintain surgical case schedules and participates in after-hours call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license required at time of submittal.
• Proof of flu vaccine required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma); High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska at time of submission.
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.
• Current BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Room environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative care for a wide range of elective and emergency surgical procedures, including: Abdominal & Thoracic, Orthopedics & Vascular, OB/GYN & Urology, ENT & Plastic Surgery
• Multi-task efficiently to ensure surgical cases proceed on schedule throughout the day.
• Provide after-hours call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
