About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team in Alaska. In this role, you will support a full spectrum of elective and emergency surgical procedures, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing); High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Active, full, and unrestricted State of Alaska RN License (required at time of application submission).
• Minimum of 3 years of dedicated Operating Room (OR) nursing experience.
• Active BLS (Basic Life Support).
• Annual Flu vaccination.
• Completion of state fingerprint background check upon job acceptance (start dates require approximately a 6-week processing window following submission).

Nice To Haves

• Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
• Prior experience working in a Critical Access Hospital or rural Operating Room setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assist, and manage patient care across a broad range of specialties, including Abdominal, Thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Orthopedics, Vascular, and OB/GYN.
• Efficiently multi-task to maintain an organized surgical schedule and ensure timely case progression throughout the day.
• Participate in after-hours call rotation to staff the Operating Room for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques, patient advocacy, and compliance with facility standards.
