About The Position

Citizens is hiring Portfolio Managers as it expands in South Florida and Tampa. The role works with a seasoned coverage team to handle full-cycle underwriting and portfolio management. The Portfolio Manager analyzes, underwrites, and presents credit recommendations on commercial loan requests and modifications, including in-depth reviews of financial statements, tax returns, and relevant credit information. The role provides proactive credit and risk administration, structures and documents new business, renewals, and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense, and supports client management for assigned accounts. The position manages moderately complex credits and requires balancing competing demands while meeting deadlines and complying with credit and risk policies.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in underwriting and portfolio management with C&I, CRE, or commercial banking.
• Bachelor's degree required.

• Credit analysis background working on new loans and an existing portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Proactively administer credit and risk for assigned portfolio accounts.
• Structure, underwrite, and document new business, renewals, and modifications as the credit expert within the first line of defense.
• Provide client management support for the assigned portfolio.
• Interact directly with clients on standard credit and risk follow-up issues.
• Engage with relationship managers about progress, issues, and challenges involving customer relationships or portfolio concerns.
• Manage multiple demands and competing priorities while meeting portfolio and compliance deadlines and schedules.
• Manage moderately complex credits.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and other relevant credit information.
• Present credit recommendations on commercial loan requests and modifications.
