Solid Waste Engineering Services We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Portfolio Manager to support and lead solid waste engineering projects and pursuits across California and the western U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional with a strong background in civil or solid waste engineering and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in the landfill and environmental infrastructure space.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • California PE license required; CE licenses in Oregon and Washington desirable.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering with a focus on landfill projects.
  • Proven experience in landfill expansions and closures
  • Project management and client coordination

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute engineering projects related to solid waste facility expansions and closures; infrastructure improvements, and environmental compliance reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.
  • Lead multi-discipline teams
  • Oversee field activities including construction quality assurance (CQA) and site observations during landfill construction and closure projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project goals, budgets, and timelines are met.
  • Develop client relationships
  • Support pursuit tracking and proposal development and contribute to business development efforts through technical expertise and client engagement
  • Help develop and expand solid waste services portfolio in central and northern California
  • Expand solid waste engineering capabilities profile, focusing on Master Planning, Design, and environmental compliance.
  • Facilitate growth by supporting strategic talent acquisition and mentorship of junior staff
