About The Position

DWS Investment Management Americas, Inc. seeks a Portfolio Manager, Equity in New York, NY to develop and maintain expertise across selected sub-industries within the investment universe, actively covering 60-80 securities and consistently generating differentiated, alpha-driven investment ideas. This role involves analyzing corporate financial statements, building financial models, performing valuation analyses, conducting fundamental equity research, and establishing relationships with industry colleagues. The position requires working with financial data platforms like Bloomberg and FactSet.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or related field or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in equity research covering TMT-related industries, including global technology, media, and AI.
  • Experience identifying investment and research opportunities within the technology, media, and telecommunications space.
  • Experience delivering timely, actionable recommendations to portfolio managers based on research in public disclosures, regulatory filings, sell side research, management meetings and expert consultations.
  • Experience analyzing corporate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to assess company performance and financial health.
  • Experience building and maintaining detailed company and industry-level financial models to translate complex data into concise, decision-ready insights.
  • Experience building full three statement models with scenario and sensitivity analysis and long term forecasting for high growth technology companies.
  • Experience performing valuation analyses, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) modeling, comparable company analysis (trading comps), and historical multiple analysis.
  • Experience conducting fundamental equity research, including company level due diligence using SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), earnings call transcripts, investor presentations, and primary research.
  • Experience establishing long term relationships with industry colleagues including corporate management teams, sell side researchers, and industry contacts for up-to-date insights on industry and company trends.
  • Experience working with financial data platforms including Bloomberg and FactSet to source and reconcile financial data.
