About The Position

World Relief seeks a Portfolio Development Manager (PDM) for the large, regional U.S. Offices. As a strategic leader, the PDM serves as the primary liaison between the home office and this designated cluster of offices providing support to activate private revenue growth. In this role, you’ll guide external engagement strategies that integrate donor development, church partnerships, and private fundraising initiatives. PDMs are trusted advisors who ensure each office’s plans align with World Relief’s broader mission while honoring the unique context and strengths of local teams. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy through project management, relationship-building, and mission-driven leadership.

Requirements

  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document.
  • Bachelors degree, preferably in Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising including major gift pipeline development.
  • 2+ years of direct supervisory experience, including performance management, goal tracking, professional development, and team coaching.
  • Strong project management skills with proven track record of seeing projects from ideation through implementation to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising others, including monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets, monitoring performance, documenting performance concerns, and entering staff changes in HRIS.
  • Leading staff in a manner consistent with Christian values, including praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment.
  • Co-developing and implementing integrated Advancement strategies with U.S. Office Advancement leadership.
  • Guiding the execution of donor acquisition and brand amplification strategies.
  • Leading cross-functional advancement initiatives from strategy through implementation.
  • Providing thought leadership to the portfolio of offices.
  • Monitoring and supporting local offices in achieving fundraising goals.
  • Working with the Communications Support Officer (CSO) to identify strengths and gaps in local messaging and branding.
  • Allocating centralized support through the Development Support Officer (DSO).
  • Championing and project managing the full adoption of major national campaigns across assigned offices.
  • Leading campaign readiness and execution across assigned offices.
  • Providing training and support in the use of CRM tools like HubSpot, Dynamics, and RENXT.
  • Assisting in portfolio analysis, goal setting, and opportunity tiering.
  • Coaching local fundraising staff on sales processes, meeting scheduling, pitch development, and partner care strategies.
  • Acting as a liaison with Strategic Partnership Directors, Partnership Trust Impact Team and Corporate and Foundations Team.
  • Facilitating cross-office learning and best practice sharing.
  • Providing instruction on portfolio management practices.
  • Providing U.S. offices with prospective leads based on wealth research and offering support and training on lead cultivation.
