About The Position

As a Porter at Sandhill Winery, you will be responsible for supporting the team to provide an unforgettable guest experience. Bringing a positive attitude and willingness to learn, in a fun and engaging way. You'll act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that every guest feels welcome, informed, and excited about their visit. This is a seasonal position, running from mid-May to mid-October 2026.

Requirements

• A genuine passion for customer service, with a focus on building lasting relationships.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to make wine education accessible and enjoyable.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
• A positive, “Can Do” attitude, especially under pressure.
• Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is preferred.
• Wine knowledge or certifications (e.g., WSET 2/3, ISG/CAPS, CMS) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential!
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs (cases of wine) and move between different areas of the property.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

• Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and build genuine connections.
• Offer exceptional service, anticipating guest needs and addressing requests promptly.
• Meet and exceed individual and team sales goals by focusing on guest satisfaction.
• Represent Sandhill Winery’s brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion for wine.
• Assist with packaging, shipping, and organizing wine purchases to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Assist Wine Educators with event set up, Happy Hour food service with some kitchen prep & dishwashing duties.
