About The Position

The Porter Department provides a safe and friendly environment for guests and team members by establishing and maintaining the cleanliness of assigned casino areas in compliance with departmental policies and procedures. The Porter maintains cleanliness throughout assigned areas, provides service and information to guests, and keeps equipment and supplies orderly. The role involves routine janitorial work, restroom cleaning, and heavy cleaning tasks, and requires working throughout the property, both indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must obtain a non-gaming license upon hire.
Ability to handle diverse situations and/or people.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work closely with other departments.
Excellent guest service skills.
Flexible availability, including weekends.
Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds or more.
Ability to carry up to 20 pounds continually.
Ability to push or pull 50 pounds or more on a cart, dolly, or two-wheeler, or while operating a vacuum or shampooer.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
Ability to tolerate varying noise levels, temperatures, and air quality.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas as directed by the Porter Supervisor or Manager.
Perform janitorial cleaning in assigned areas.
Remove trash, replace ashtrays, and wipe and clean ashtrays and trash cans.
Provide service and information to guests.
Clean between slot machines; remove glasses, trash, and empty bottles around guests while avoiding disruption to play.
Keep slot chairs and table chairs clean in assigned areas.
Perform heavy cleaning, including shampooing carpets, stripping and waxing floors, pressure washing, emptying trash cans, and bio-hazard cleanup.
Keep Porter Department equipment and supplies orderly.
Report equipment malfunctions and supply shortages.
Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms in assigned areas.
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
