About The Position

The Porter supports dealership operations by moving vehicles, washing and detailing customer vehicles, and maintaining clean work areas and facilities. The role is based on-site at Suburban Chevrolet Cadillac of Ann Arbor and requires open availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and staying active throughout the shift, handling vehicles carefully, and assisting across the dealership as needs change. Pay will be discussed during an in-person interview. The position reports to the Service Manager.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Comfortable safely moving and parking a variety of vehicles.
• Able to work outdoors and remain active throughout the shift.
• Careful vehicle handling with a focus on preventing damage.
• Willingness to assist across the dealership as vehicle and lot needs change.
• Open availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport vehicles to and from repair stalls and parking areas.
• Wash and detail customer vehicles as directed.
• Maintain clean work areas by sweeping and removing trash throughout the day.
• Assist with general facility cleaning as assigned.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Support the team with additional duties as needed throughout the workday.
• Manage vehicle locations, keys, and delivery requests.
