About The Position

North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing is seeking a per-diem Porter to join its team. The Porter performs daily housekeeping activities according to applicable State, Federal, Health, and company standards, following instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to help maintain a safe facility. The role includes cleaning and polishing furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units, restrooms, and recreational areas; disposing of waste in proper containers and relining trash receptacles; and following cleaning schedules as closely as possible.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends, holidays, and some weekdays.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Past housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping activities in accordance with State, Federal, Health, and company standards.
• Follow instructions from the Director of Housekeeping Services to help maintain the facility safely.
• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating and cooling units, restrooms, and recreational areas as instructed.
• Dispose of waste and trash in proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
• Follow work and cleaning schedules as closely as possible.
