About The Position

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled FULL TIME (40 hours per week) ENTRY LEVEL Porter/Maintenance Technician for the Homes at Foxfield, a 112 unit affordable housing apartment community in Salisbury, Maryland. This position is approximately 40 hours per week. The Porter/Technician is responsible for the grounds keeping of the community, cleaning of all common areas, and assisting with technical matters related to basic apartment maintenance. This role will also assist with unit turnovers and be part of the after-hours on-call rotation. The Porter/Tech directly reports to the Community Manager. Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification. Pay is commensurate with experience. Requirements

Energetic, self-motivated individual who is able to work as a team
Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times- experience dealing with the public
Must have reliable transportation and possess valid driver's license
Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation
Willingness to assist at other locations in the immediate area, as needed.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years prior apartment maintenance experience or experience in similar industry
Experience with basic appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and/or painting is a plus but not required
Some experience with the apartment maintenance or similar industry desired
Basic appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting desired
