About The Position

Freedom Park Apartments is hiring a Porter/Make Ready (Ticket Runner) in Atlanta, Georgia. The role prepares vacant apartments for market-ready status through turnover repairs, cleaning, painting, minor repairs, and improvements. It also supports the upkeep of the community’s grounds, buildings, common areas, and trash areas, helping maintain a clean, neat, and welcoming environment for residents. The position provides customer service, assists the maintenance team with light tasks, and reports maintenance or safety concerns to management. This is a HUD property.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience in maintenance or custodial work is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
• Follow safety protocols and keep tools and equipment in good condition.

• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Property management experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for market-ready status through turnover repairs and improvements.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and minor repairs.
• Perform appliance installation, electrical and plumbing tasks, and standard unit turns.
• Replace hardware and lighting.
• Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of community grounds.
• Perform snow removal and clean and maintain grounds and common areas.
• Keep the property clean and free of trash and debris.
• Pick up trash around buildings, parking areas, and common spaces.
• Clean breezeways, stairwells, and other shared areas.
• Maintain dumpster and trash areas.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service.
• Assist the maintenance team with light tasks when needed.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Help keep the community neat and welcoming for residents.
