About The Position

Benchmark is seeking a housekeeper to help maintain a safe and clean community for residents, associates, and visitors. The role includes laundering towels, bed linens, and resident laundry, as well as maintaining resident apartments and community spaces. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–7:30 PM. The position is part-time.

Requirements

• Understand practices for the proper handling of biohazardous waste.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience cleaning residential or commercial settings preferred; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean assigned resident apartments according to the supervisor’s schedule.
• Clean bathrooms, including toilet bowls, sinks, bathtubs, countertops, mirrors, and floors.
• Clean kitchens by wiping counters and areas beneath objects, and mopping floors.
• Vacuum all exposed areas completely, including edges.
• Empty and rinse wastebaskets when necessary.
• Wash the inside of windows as needed.
• Clean common areas to required standards, including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, resident activity areas, lobbies, and model units.
• Clean other flat surfaces as scheduled or requested by the supervisor.
• Maintain an orderly and clean laundry room.
• Store chemicals according to product instructions or supervisor direction.
• Launder towels, bed linens, and resident laundry.
