About The Position

As a Porter at CLS Living, you help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and team members. Your attention to detail and commitment to property upkeep contribute to resident satisfaction and a positive community experience. The role supports the maintenance team and Maintenance Supervisor, and includes cleaning indoor and outdoor areas, assisting with resident activities and packages, reporting maintenance issues, and carrying out minor repairs. The position may involve flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and a rotating weekend schedule for trash pickup and trash chute clearing.

Requirements

Bilingual in Spanish and English, with proficiency in English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook for consistent communication and updates.
Ability to maintain regular communication with the lead maintenance technician and Chief Building Engineer.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Physical capability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects or equipment.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Understanding of a rotating weekend schedule for trash pickup and trash chute clearing.
Commitment to maintaining a neat and organized work environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in custodial, maintenance, or related roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and entryways by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Power wash sidewalks, courtyard areas, and parking lots.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
Clean and sanitize public spaces, including restrooms, fitness centers, community rooms, and other amenities.
Assist with setup and cleanup for events, meetings, and resident activities.
Monitor and report maintenance issues, such as leaks, broken fixtures, or damage, to appropriate personnel.
Keep outdoor areas tidy by picking up litter and maintaining landscaping appearance.
Perform minor maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and fixing small repairs.
Assist with package delivery and distribution to residents as needed.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to support its efforts.
Maintain a positive, helpful attitude when interacting with residents and visitors.
Follow safety protocols and properly handle and store cleaning materials.
Support the Maintenance Supervisor in building a motivated, skilled, organized, and productive team that represents the company professionally.
