About The Position

Planned Companies Building Services is seeking friendly, detail-oriented Janitors and Custodians to provide common-area and bathroom cleaning services at residential and commercial properties in Manhattan, New York. The role helps maintain a clean, healthy, and safe environment for tenants, guests, and vendors. Employees are expected to be polite, respectful, thorough, and observant in identifying ways to provide a high level of service.

This is an on-call position with first- and second-shift scheduling. Pay is $23.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Willingness to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Experience in similar roles using cleaning products and equipment to clean floors and carpets.
• Ability to work on a team and independently as needed.
• Strong report-writing and clear verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors of various types.
• Strip, buff, and wax floors of various types.
• Dust ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
• Scrub and sanitize bathroom toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
• Empty trash cans and wash and dry windows.
• Request cleaning supply orders and report breakages and needed repairs.
• Assist building management with projects and perform other job duties as requested.
