About The Position

This contingent, temporary position is intended to backfill an employee who is currently on leave. Employment is not permanent and is expected to conclude when the incumbent returns or as business needs change. The Porter supports quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles before delivery and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities. Duties may change at any time, with or without notice. The physical demands of the role must be met to perform its essential functions; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to multitask.
Age 18 or older.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong attention to detail.
Customer service abilities.
Positive attitude.
Trustworthy and reliable.
Willingness to learn.
Clear close vision required.
Able to pull, push, and carry.
Able to walk and stand for 5 or more hours, sit, and stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl for 1 or more hours.
Able to operate a motor vehicle and lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to withstand exposure to working near moving mechanical parts.

Nice To Haves

Automotive experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas.
Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and returning tools and equipment to their proper locations.
Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs begin.
Clean the exterior and interior of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.
