About The Position

Provide care to Oak Orchard Health patients and deliver professional, courteous customer service in accordance with the organization’s values of professionalism, courtesy, and competence. Work collaboratively with other staff to support efficient daily operations. The role includes patient triage and follow-up coordination, clinical and administrative nursing duties, and assistance to providers and management as needed.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse licensure.

Responsibilities

Perform phone and message triage as assigned.
Schedule medical clearances and hospital follow-up appointments.
Coordinate transitions of care within the first 48 hours after discharge.
Obtain hospital documentation.
Perform medication reconciliation.
Work with standing orders.
Enroll patients in Critical Care Management and maintain their enrollment.
Collect and label samples, including urine, blood, gynecological, and throat-swab samples, as well as Hgb and lead samples.
Room patients by obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, and gathering history.
Conduct nurse visits, including vaccine administration, weight checks, vital signs, and wound-care dressing.
Provide immunizations and treatments, including EKGs, spirometry, oxygen administration, nebulizer treatments, and blood draws.
Complete faxing, documents, and triage tasks as needed, including forms such as FMLA, DMV, DOT, disability, and school CPE forms.
Stock examination rooms.
Perform daily closing responsibilities when assigned.
Assist providers as needed.
Complete other duties as requested by the manager, including EKGs, spirometry, oxygen administration, nebulizer treatments, and obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies.
Respond to other reasonable requests from management.
