About The Position

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Regional Population Health Manager (RPHM) to lead population health and value-based care initiatives within the Primary Care Population Health Service Line (PCPHSL). This role is crucial for driving continuous quality improvement, operational success, and high-impact care delivery across multiple clinics and programs in Arkansas, specifically supporting the South and Southwest Regional clinics in El Dorado and Texarkana. The ideal candidate is a strategic and proactive leader passionate about improving healthcare systems for patients and communities, thriving in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Health Education, Public Health, Nursing, or a healthcare-related field.
At least three (3) years in quality improvement, program management, or project management.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
Proven expertise in performance/quality improvement, change management, and navigating regulatory compliance.
Experience with Value-Based Care and Quality Improvement: HEDIS Measure, Risk Adjustment (HCC), and process improvement.
Experienced and knowledgeable with Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience using electronic medical record systems in clinical settings.
A detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
Strong knowledge of clinical quality measures and evaluation methodologies.
Ability to travel frequently between clinical sites in Texarkana, AR and El Dorado, AR.
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree or BSN preferred.
Five (5) or more years in clinical quality improvement or primary care settings is a plus.
EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with diverse clinic leadership teams (access, nursing, physician, and administrative) to align efforts and achieve organizational quality and performance metrics.
Design and implement transformative projects to redefine care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and ensure seamless execution of patient-centered care standards.
Lead and mentor a team of Population Health Improvement Assistants (if applicable) to support clinic-level quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence.
Work across clinics and programs to elevate key outcomes in quality, safety, and patient experience, ensuring consistency and innovation in care delivery.
Report to the Quality Director for Population Health and Value-Based Care, providing regular updates, aligning initiatives with broader organizational goals, and contributing to strategic planning for population health.
