About The Position
The Pool Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair pools and associated facilities for the company.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Must possess a valid Certified Pool Operator Certificate.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their interaction.
- Knowledge of safe work principles and practices.
- Occasional travel may be required
Responsibilities
- Cleans and maintains filled pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and performing chemical treatments.
- Periodically empties pools to perform deep cleaning, including brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
- Regularly tests pool water for pH; chlorine; presence of bacteria, algae, or contaminants; and other data.
- Ensures correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
- Calculates and adds chemical treatments to maintain pH balance, eliminate contaminants, or correct other problems.
- Inspects pool and equipment; troubleshoots and repairs identified issues.
- Completes and maintains daily logs outlining chemical usage, water quality, repairs, and supplies.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs automated control systems, intake and drain valves, pumps, motors, and chemical and leak detection systems.
- Resolves client or customer problems.
